Mission Statement

To respect and preserve landowners’ constitutionally protected property rights in their groundwater through public education and by  holding the Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District (BVGCD), it’s board, staff and contractors to the highest standards of honesty, transparency and ethical behavior as is expected and demanded of public bodies within the State of Texas and to see that the BVGCD activities and actions comply with all state and federal laws.

BVGRA is growing but we need you to help us do more. Membership dues help us share information with others who have the same concerns as you. By joining today you become part of a group organized to collect and share information relative to well permitting, legislative issues, court decisions, groundwater conservation district activities, water quality issues, water availability issues and prevention of the taking of a resource that has always been the property of the landowner through the Rule of Capture.
